SHEYING was founded by Leo Xin Liu, a Chinese-Canadian visual artist whose work has been acquired by the Government of Prince Edward Island for its provincial public art collection.

In 2026, two works from his Blue Hockey series were selected for the Prince Edward Island Art Bank, a government-established collection with a history dating back to 1979. He may be the first artist credited under a Chinese name to enter the collection in its 47-year history, although this distinction has not yet been officially verified.

Based in Prince Edward Island, Canada, Leo's creative practice spans painting, photography, mixed media, and visual communication. His work explores time, human relationships, and the connections between people and their surroundings.

Before moving to Canada, Leo served as an Executive Creative Director at an international 4A advertising agency, leading creative projects and developing visual communication for international brands. His professional achievements include recognition at the Effie Awards, the China Advertising Festival, and other creative competitions.

SHEYING brings together two professional perspectives: the artistic vision of a contemporary visual artist and the strategic thinking of an award-winning creative director.
